Wilfredo is an educator and an artist combining both interests into his work as a Teaching Artist. For 35 years now he continues as the Artistic Director of his own interactive educational theatre company, Family Life Theatre, which focuses on Social Emotional Learning throughout public schools in New York City. He continues to be an Adjunct Professor for CUNY (the City University of New York) teaching Critical Thinking Skills to Education Majors. In addition he’s part of a team of educators working with Correction Officers on Riker’s Island to learn the skills of de-escalation with inmates. Finally, Wilfredo is a proud Fellow in the national Transformative Educational Leadership Fellowship focused on creating Beloved Communities through Radical Love in educational environments.
